 Emma Thompson is a hard-hitting, ass-riding, host of a 30-year-old evening show TV show. Mindy Kaling arrives as a fresh-faced, spunky, diversity hire with no experience. As the TV show is threatened with cancellation, Thompson's Katherine and Kaling's Molly must learn to work together to give the weary program a modern face lift.
