Tempe-base indie rock band, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers is a beloved icon of Arizona. In this documentary we get to hear from the band and those around them and learn how they started and how they got to where they are today. A must see for all Refreshments / Peacemaker fans.

PFF 2017 - H.O.M.E.

Described as a love letter to NYC, H.O.M.E. weaves together a visual-audio tapestry built of the lives of three very different people who all have the same desire -- to find home. One is missing young man with Asperger’s Syndrome who hides in the subway system of the city. Another is an Ecuadorian cab driver who is trying to get back to his daughter in Quito, Ecuador. The third is a Chinese woman, a single mother, who is desperately trying to get home to her sick son. Along their journeys, they discover deeper understandings of communication that move beyond communication barriers.

PFF 2017 - Brave New Jersey

Set in 1938 when "War of the Worlds" was read over the radio, "Brave New Jersey" looks at the small town of Lullaby, NJ, which freaked out thinking aliens had landed. This hilarious film has a top notch cast and tight script that will leave you giggling.

Set in the near future, IM Perfect examines what it means to be a family. Throw in a bit sci-fi, genetic engineer and sweet gadgets and you have yourself a highly entertaining film that isn't afraid to ask the big questions. IM Perfect also won the Best Arizona Feature.

"The Happys" tells the story of 21-year-old Tracy. The midwestern girl moves to LA with her boyfriend. Her perfect future is destroyed when she walks in on her boyfriend having sex with a man. A film about finding yourself, "The Happys" has a lot of potential but may leave you feeling hungry.

Emotionally stunning and visually spectacular, "Secondhand Hearts" takes you on a journey that spans two continents. The story follows a photographer who, on a trip to Japan, falls in love with a woman he soon learns is his girlfriend's older sister.
Written and directed by Austin Everett and definitely one of our top picks thus far.
